Set it up
- A new company starts empty. Use a ready card to add an objective and two KPIs to each perspective in one click; rename or remove anything that does not fit.
- In the financial perspective, choose the period the actuals are measured over: last twelve months, year to date, last month or last full year.
- Type the targets, or pull them from your annual budget in one click. The financial actuals come straight from your books.
- For customers, operations and people, enter this month's actual for each KPI. It is scored the moment you type it and saved into its trend.
- Options decide whether higher or lower is better, the unit, how strictly it is judged and its weight in the score.
Read the overview
- The verdict: overall score, the weakest perspective and how many KPIs are on track, on watch or off track.
- Financial results from your books, each against its target.
- The strategy map: a capable team drives better operations, which drive happier customers, which drive stronger results.
- What needs attention: every KPI off track, and whether anything is being done about it.
Act with initiatives
An initiative is the action that fixes an off-track KPI. Cover the next one picks the KPI that needs it most; take a ready idea or write your own, give it an owner and a due date, and move it through proposed, approved, in progress and done. Late or unowned initiatives are flagged.
Everything saves by itself, and Step back undoes a change. Copy a ready summary for your board pack.
